the guys in front of my shop have a small lincoln they like it. the lincoln rep told me if you weld 1/4 plate you need about 250 amps this may be off a bit but not much. so a 200 or 185 may work good for steel but if you weld alum you want a big dog mine is not that bigLast edited by pat mccarthy; 05-23-2006 at 03:44 PM.
