How to remove turn signal stalk?
I have a steering column from a 1979 Chevy Carpice. I need to change the turn signal stalk. How the heck do I get it out of there? It does not appear to unscrew, with some force I am able to twist it , maybe 30 degrees, but tht does not accomplish anything. There is what appears to be an access panel on the column, but I can seem to get that out either. I pulled the wheel off but that did not get me to what I needed.
Any one with experience in such things, or a Helms manual that has instructions, I would be in their debt if they could tell me how to do this.
thanks
Pat

on some of those stu, you push in on the handle and turn a 1/4 turn and then pull it out. you have to push it in to release it. is the cruse control in the leaver? sounds like you turned it, just didnt pull it out. try that.
