posi info

I have recently purchased a used posi.
There is side play in the axels meaning I can move the axel about 1/16 of an inch in both axels.Is this normal (I think not )
What is the cause anyone have a theory.

Need more info. What make rear axle is it? Do you get the movement by pulling and pushing on the axle flange, or by rotating it?

its a 89 4:11 form an iroq
I get the movement when I pull and push on the end of the axel

thats normal, just taking up the slack in the c clips.
