    1937 Chevy Pickup Frame Swap

I am wondering where to start in looking for a frame for a 1937 chevy pickup 1/2 ton. I am helping a buddy to locate a frame that will work. S-10? If anyone has done this or seen it done, let me know which frames work, and what modifications will be needed.
    any response is greatly appreciated!

    kentkhi,

Look at my Ford F1/S-10 frame swap on my website. I don't think you'll be happy with it. The S-10 is best suited for the fat fendered 46-52 pick ups.

    37 Chevy Frame swap

Hey, I have the same problem that you have. I have a 37 with a Landcruiser running gear under it, which does not fit very well. I am trying to find a simple way to put a modern undercarriage under an old body. I posted a couple of weeks back and was shocked that there is not another member that has done this to a 36-39 Chevy pick-up. A Chevy Astro Van has a very similar wheel base and allready has the mounts for a 700-R tranny, I have been told that the steering box location will be an issue though. Keep me posted on what you have found and I will do the same.

I had the same problem, ended up using a 79 camaro front clip then built and welded on my own frame rails, used 3 by 5 tubing, maybe a little over kill but they fit nicely into the camaro clip rails

Why not just the stock frame and upgrade the suspension and brakes????
