Nice site Walt.
I've followed your progress since you joined the site, and like what your doing with the old truck.
I've always had a soft spot for the 51-2 Ford trucks. I've built 3 over the years, A 51 F1 with a Volare front suspension, 302/C4 and 9", A 51 COE F6 with a 440 Chrysler, 727 and Hone OD, and my favorite (the first one I did) a 52 F6 conventional cab with a 402 Chevy big block, Offy tranny adaptor with the original non-syncro 4 speed and 2 speed rear end. They have since all gone to new homes.
One of the interesting things I found out when I was building them is that the cab (and doors) are identical/interchangable all the way from the F1 through F6 on the conventional cabs.
Thanks for posting your link,Last edited by Mike P; 01-14-2006 at 06:36 AM.
".......So sanded it all down and resprayed. ......" Been there. done that on a couple of paint jobs over the years. Usually took me a couple of days to get over being mad before I started...
