Smallblock ford in a 37 chevy p/u
I decided its time for the 57 235 and the original driveline in my 37 chevy p/u to go and I have two motors that can go in it,a roller cam 302 or a 460. I think the 460 would require too much cutting so I will be putting in the 302 after a 331 stroker kit and a C-4,am I on my own for motor mounts or does anyone make universal smallblock ford mounts that I can make work. Another choice are '63 Falcon v8 mounts. These are the ones most tubular crossmember setups (like Speedway) use. They bolt to the side mounts in the conventional way, and a single long bolt passes through the two ears, and through the little tube welded to each side of the crossmember. Part number is Republic 31-2342, or equivalent in another brand.
I like the tube crossmember, because it ties the two side frame rails together solidly.Don........as long as I have projects to finish I can't die

I agree with dons on this, and I would add a engine plate as well.Jim
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
