I previously owned a 28 Ford with a similar setup and I found that 1.5 turns on the steering wheel left or right from center ( with a 5 turns stop to stop box ) was more than adequate . So if you can get 1.5 turns on the wheel you should be ok.
As to my problem I wasn't concerned about bending it as to how the car handled , I was just curious if anyone else has done it with bad effects or if something will change that I'm not thinking about ?
You have been busy! Nice progress.
