One of the top 5 paint jobs I've ever had was done by a kid who painted full time "during the day", and did my job "on the side". He set the price, I didn't haggle, he hadn't figured out what he was really worth yet..............at that time. So it can be done. It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.
".......So sanded it all down and resprayed. ......" Been there. done that on a couple of paint jobs over the years. Usually took me a couple of days to get over being mad before I started...
