I think a MII might be a little light for a truck of that size. get the disc brake kit and a lowering kit for your original front end
Well ,thats the route I was going.Dropped spindles ,coils ,and disc brakes,I would like more ground clearence than the stock crossmember can give me.With the mustang II kit I get plenty of clearence to lay the frame if I wanted. Its light weight compared to a stock crossmember. It just looks cool:3dSMILE:Quote:

I fabricate most of my own stuff from scratch, so I've never used anybody's kit, but have heard some others complaining about the quality of Fat Man's stuff.
I can appreciate that you want to spend the least money you have to in order to do this, but there has to be a break point somewhere with parts and pieces quality and the price of same.
Is it just that you want polished stainless tubular control arms on the truck for visual effect with the front end tilted or do you want an MII arrangement for R&P and disc brakes?
Not really looking to skimp on quality,Its just that Heidts IFS kits are like a few hundred cheaper.Quote:

The IFS is lighter,a lot less cluster mounted on the frame(cleaner look) ,like the steering gear box.Better handling, more ground clearence in the front, and the pudry polished control arms:3dSMILE:
