I bought a car with the handles shaved and my fat ole arm is getting sore reaching through the wing to get in. Can any one give me some information on how hard it is to install door poppers and latch solenoids? I am pretty talented with mechanical items, but am a little timid in areas that I am ignorant in.

Its no problem to do if you are pretty talented with mechanical items and can follow some written inst. you're hooking a pull sol. to your door latch. With an external switch. all the info. you need will be with the kit, and you'll need only basic tools. go for it. **)Quote:

Did it on my rig. It is pretty straight forward. Just do some homework on which kit to buy. If you get carried away like me, you'll end up getting a remote control to open the doors. :)
Remotes are cool, but we used to run a cable from the driver's door mechanism to a point under the hood for backup, in case the battery died, or gremlins got at the wiring.
That's a "must have" ;) It's called a "Murphy's law" cable :DQuote:

door poppers are really easy to install. I know autoloc has a few options and they aren't a bad price. ALWAYS INSTALL A BACKUP RELEASE! it will save you countless windows. good luck!
