Lowering Rear 1954 Chevy Pick- Up
I have a 1954 Chevy Pick-Up which I want to lower in the rear 3". I bought an axle relocation kit from Chevy Duty to center a late model rear end in the center of the wheel well. I have stock rear springs and want to use lowering blocks. My problem is the aftermarket lowering blocks are wider than my springs and I will have to modify my lower shock mount plate. Does anyone know of a company that makes lowering blocks for these springs so I will not have to modify mine? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks WayneWayne

i lowered a few of those personally at my shop and we took and dearched the springs to lower it it made it ride just like stock and no risk of axle rap from having the springs so far away from the rearend.

Thanks for the ideas. I have not considered dearching the springs. That might be the way to go. Thanks for the input. I cannot trim the blocks because they are hollow, not solid and there is not enough to trim.Wayne
