1951 Ford F-1 Front Brakes
I just bought a 1951 Ford F-1 P-U and a extra cab for $200 on Saturday. As of Monday night it has a SBC/T350 half way mounted in. While I am working on the E&T, I thought I would check in with you guys for some info. The brake system appears to be a Bendix design and not a Huck(?) system. Is this the original type? Is there an easy swap? I want to keep the front axle and I don't mind drum brakes. However, I would go disk if there is a cheap conversion. I would like to retain the 5.5" bolt pattern. If it can't be retained than a 4.5" would be preferred.
That's going to be nice, like the color. .
