Re: trunk mounted battery
get a battery switch from a boat or drag use . on and off switch .then you not would need a fuse you have a switch and i use O gauge welding cable and clamp it to the frame with rubber coated steel clamp mount it down on the frame and it will be fine keep it a way from hot stuff and pinch points and i ues a PVC grommet they are thick wall keeps the battery cable from getting abraded for any bulkheadsOriginally posted by Albrainya
hey guys, heres the question i have: with a trunk moounted battery, running 1 gauge wire, how do you protect the main feed ? how do you fuse the circuit at the battery incase of shorts in the battery cable? what im looking for is, who sells a device which can carry the amp load for the entire vehicle, and protect from fire if the battery cable shorts out? and what amperage fuse/ circuit breaker is reccomended for that application??
Thanks, DanLast edited by pat mccarthy; 11-12-2005 at 10:35 PM.
