Ideas, photos of how to route wiring on frame.

I'm going to be running some wiring around on the rod, and was wondering if people could offer up suggestions and photos of what they recommend.

I'll be routing some wiring underneath and along the frame area around the engine area. Mainly lights, etc - but would be interested in possibly wiring a hydralic brake switch also. Have installed a under the floor master cylinder and quite can't figure out how to get that little micro-switch wired in to the new pedal mechanism. Up top it's that long flat piece of steel that the pedal is attached to, and it seems like it has quite a bit more travel on it than the old pedal that was attached the firewall mount system.

Open to suggestions and photos if anyone did anything creative there, also.

On the wiring, was thinking about some protective cover over the small wire bundle that would be routing areound under the car and on the frame. Again, looking for suggestions and photos, if you're willing to share.

This won't get you to the Oakland Roadster Show, but-----It works and its cheap. On all the rods which I build, I take great care to make sure that the hardlines for hydraulic brakes, fuel tank, and transmission cooling are mounted securely to the frame.
When I get to the wiring, I seperate it out into bundles depending on what corner of the car its running to, wrap the bundles with black electrical tape, and use nylon electricians tie-wraps spaced about 6" apart to tie the bundles to the hardlines.
The black tape makes the wiring virtually invisible, and it is well supported.

bending up some tubing to run the wires in would be trick. running it through the frame is just about bullet-proof, provided they don't find something sharp in there to rub on, and you use some nice rubber grommets. small wire straps would work well.. drill and tap holes in the frame and scew in the straps. Zip ties are easy, and will last just about forever. Spiral wrap adds some additional protection to the bundle, and is cheap. You can get it in about any color you want.
