Anyone else have a ford rearend (disc) on Chevy?

My 63 Nova has a ford 9" rearend w/disc brakes (Versailles rearend). The e-brake was not hooked up at all when i got the car and now that i've re-done all the brakes with new parts, i want to hook it all up so that the rears stay in adjustment.

Does anyone out there have the same setup (ford rear/disc on GM car) that can tell me how they hooked up the parking brake?
--i'm thinking most old chevy e-brake assy. are the same... one sigle cable comming back to a "Y" then splits to 2 individual cables that go to the calipers--

I'm hoping someone can tell me or show me (with pictures) how this is 'supposed' to be hooked up or maybe even suggest how the cables are run and what parts i would need to order to make this work.

currently, the front half of the e-brake assy is entact (From handle to the "Y" bracket), but nothing from there to the rear axle. the cable is just chopped right off at that point.

any info is appreciated.

I ve had 3 linc vers rear enda over the years. a lot of factory replacement parts are not available but if yours is complete they work ok, I think they have the ball on the end of the cables so you need the equalizer piece It was used on a lot of ford cars vans and trucks you need to make or adapt a bracket to position and hold the front end of the cable sheath then hook up the adjuster bolt and cable to the hand brake. look at a few ford products in the bone yard some older gm stuff used a u end on the hand brake under the car it might be easier ti try to find a ford design cable hand brake and cable assembly good luck, retired ford engineer
