1970 Challenger, 1971 Charger floors?

im about to get a 70 challenger convertable that needs some floor work. it comes with a 71 charger that has good floors, someone told me that the chargers floors will work in the challenger. do you guys know if this is true?

If the charger is in ok shape let me know, I might be interested in the car,, i'd hate to see another car get cut up, and destroyed..

Sorry it won't interchange. The Challenger is an E-Body and the Charger is a B-Body. What year car are you getting? I have hundreds of photos documenting a proper convertible restoration as I own three already.

I did a little research on this and learned something myself :-) The '71-'74 Charger floor pan appears that it will interchange. The '66-'70 will not. Hope this clarifies things?

yeah, you are right, YearOne sells the pans and they are the same part for the 70-74 E-body and the 71-74 B-body.

As you can see from my collection of cars (and music) "the world ended for me after 1970" :-)

yes i like your collection of cars, music was definatly better in that era as well. i'll get some pics of the challenger up in the next few days. do you know of any good places to de-code the data plate? it has the original 318 and slap stick in it but i still want to de-code it.

Ya1 If you were to look at the two cars you would be able to tell that the 71 charger is alot bigger then the 70 challenger or cuda.
The 71 charger is like Richard Pettys old 43 car real long and sleek.
