I am currently working on the designs for my winter project, and it looks to be an AWD Hot Rod, prolly a 32 or 33 3 window coupe. I have the whole drivetrain planned out, but i cant seem to decide on what to use for a frame. I was thinking of using an S10 frame so it would be easier, stonger, and less fabrication to fit the AWD up front, but I dont know how the frame and body combo would work. Anyone have any good advice or suggestions on the frame and chassis???

Tech is trying to show you how well the frame is integrated into the overall look of the car. Bob Parmenter posted a picture (I think) several months ago of a Model A sitting on an S10 frame.... it looked strange since the body looked to be "way up on top of the frame" rather than having the frame appearing as natural.
For an old-time look, any view of the S10 frame or suspension will detract from the overal appearance......it will take careful planning to keep from looking like a pinto body on a 4 wheel drive frame.
That actually helped out a lot, i wasnt sure how the 33 would look sitting on an s10 frame, if you can find that picture that would be awesome or if anyone has a pic of a coupe sitting on an s10 frame that would be great!

Mike, with all due respect to you, I don't think you'll find any pictures of an early fenderless coupe sitting on an S10 frame. It's just too dorky.
Hey Mike it seems that you are a little confused about just what you want for a hot rod. Just about anybody can stick a old body on a frame or any frame an s-10 or what have you, and chances are it will look like Jed Clampets truck. Installing a all wheel drive independent suspension under a open fendered 32,33 or ???? will take a true craftsman to pull it off. Someone with years of experence and you will pay heavy for their knowledge. You have a great idea but careful research and planning will save you plenty in the long run. Decide if this is really what you want to do. Then factor in the cost and time and be honest with yourself, can you do this
I know there is a lot of planning to do thats why i am starting now, and the only reason i wanted to put it on an s10 frame was because it would be easier but i am gonna use a reproduction frame for whatever my choice is for a body. I did see a 29 model a pick up on an s10 frame and that didnt even look good.
I think by now everyone knows that I like S-10 frames because the have everything you need, like IFS and power power this and that. But under a 32/33 with no fenders and no hood....NO, and not just plain no, but HELL no. First, it would detract from the appearance. The clean lines and form of the 32/33 frame actually add to the appearance of the whole car. It might be ok under a full fendered car...It would be hidden. Second, you'd be answering the same questions over and over again...
"What where you thinking???" or "Is this your first try at hot rodding???"
Now that i am gonna get a 33-34 3-w coupe, where can i get a reproduction frame for that at? I dont want very much work done to the frame, I want to do all the work myself and i dont want to be paying for stuff that i am not goin to be using. I found a repro frame from heritrage hot rods, are they good?

Sweet deal with that guy rocknrod!!! The place that i am getting the body from doesnt sell just a plain frame, the cheapest frame they have is like 6k with almost everything on it already.
