Stainless A/C hose
Are there any restrictions on using braided stainless A/C hose with standard o-ring or flare fittings and crimp ferrules?Andy

We run the Aeroquip stainless braided hose.. it is fantastic. It assembles just like other braided hoses but they have O-Ring type fittings. Vintage Air sells it in -6, -8, and -10 sizes.
Assembled the thing with no leaks the first time!

I am running the Aeroquip stainless lines.
I have a R134 condensor, compressor, and receiver/dryer and an R-12 evaporator (so I have both styles of fittings.
Took a bit to figure out what to order, but it all went in great. It sure was nice when I re-routed the condensor lines when I put in the new shroud.
Only glitch I had (have) is that the surface of one of the fittings seems to have faded. Must be a crappy batch of stainless or something like that.
Some pic's of that project are up at:

Thanks guys! It's been a long road. Fun doing finishing work for sure. Getting the dash ready for paint and some interior trim. Have to do some finish work on the aluminum headliner before...
