C5 Corvette drivetrain into a 32-34 Ford

My father and I are attempting to place a C5 corvette drivetrain into either a '32 or a '33-34 Ford frame and body. We are just getting started and I was wondering if anyone else out there has information on the dimensions of the front and rear cradles for the C5 corvette.
I will be modeling in 3D the entire frame, drivetrain and suspension and would be happy to share the finished product with everyone once it is complete.
I already have the frames modeled and now am in need of dimesions/models for the remainder of the drivetrain, especially the engine and rear cradles.
Any help and/or input would be appreciated!!

I don't have much help, but I have had the same idea and would be interested in how you make out with it. I have seen it done but think there is extensive fab work to be done on the suspension components. I was looking into this on my last 34 Ford coupe but ended up putting the solid rear axle in it. I want to build one more hopefully using corvette components so keep us posted on how you make out with this.

When you say model, do you mean a complete solid model OR a model with just the pertinent attachment points? The engine model is pretty tough to get.... and the transaxle model is even harder. If it's just a few points like motor mount locations, etc, you might find bits on the web.

Also, if you qualify for the proper member level, SEMA has some of this stuff available (to members) but they wont tell you what they have before you join and it's not cheap for the membership level that grants you access.

got my complete corvette c-6 package under the 34 ford. This includes engine,torque tube. 6 speed auto in the rear and transaxle.Got the front and rear complete susp, and crossmember, brakes tires etc. Even the c-6 wireing and steering wheel. its a c-6 34 ford runs great

These guys are great Flat Out Engineering Products. They have kits to put the C4 Corvette suspension in a variety vehicles but may be able to help you with the C5 stuff, too. Worth checking out.

I've had Corvette suspension on the brain lately so I didn't even bother to look at the date.:o I just started trying to help the guy. Oh well, maybe somebody else needs the info.

I sent Brent a note, asking him if we couldn't get a "Start New Thread" button that follows every page and links back to the Home Page, or even better to a new "Action Box" that has everything necessary to launch a New Thread. So far it's in the hopper with other ideas. Seems like it might make things easier for people not familiar with the layout to me.... Now that said, I'm not trying to initiate a new discussion on pro's & con's of the idea here :LOL::LOL:;)

Hey Roger, no doubt the "New Thread" button takes a lot of seeking to find but at least we have a "like" button!!:D I frequent a couple of truck forums, too, and while they may have a more extensive "emoticon" selection(I've asked Brent to give us more), they just don't have a "like" button!!:eek::( I've grown to really like the "like" button as a way expressing support, agreement, encouragement or whatever when I don't have time to expound on it.....:3dSMILE:
