Appraise this please!!!

Ok, I've been looking at a 1972 El Camino...I like the Els because they are the perfect cross between a car and a truck...This will still let me sleep in the back of it like a truck when im out at the lake and such, it'll let me haul my dirt bike and things as well but it rides and sits just like a car...

The one I am looking at is a 1972, 350/automatic trans...The body is flawless, primed, no damage, no rust, everything works, the seat needs recovered, the body is primed, all glass is intact, ALL THE FACTORY WHEELS/CAPS are there, it DOES run but it needs a tune up and one of the plug wires replaced...I'd probably buy a new distributor/plug wires...

The only damage on this whole car is to the floor pan BEHIND the driver seat...it will need to be cut out and replaced (this could be done when the seat goes to the interior shop) It will also need paint, but the body work is finished, not a single dent or peck in the metal. Suspension is in tremendous shape.

Could I get an idea of how much this beauty is worth? The owner is asking 2000 for it and from my point of view, this sounds right but i'd like some more input :)

2 grand is cheap for something in that good of shape. If that was trying to sell here it would be at the 6-7 thousand dollar range. I say get it, El Camino's are sweet!

Had a '72 SS 'Meeno, best ride I ever had. Put 540K miles on it, 9 engines and 3 trannys! Didn't like hitting a 4x4 truck, though. I have 2 Camino's still, a '74 and an '82.

By the way, the floor pan is the same as the same style wagon if you're searching bone yards. Front sheet metal, too. Chevelle stuff won't fit other than hood and grille.
