Almost all gas nowadays comes from a central pipeline to a central fuel storage depot, then out to the station de-jour.
You are better off buying your fuel from a place that turns its fuel over quickly to avoid water contamination.
One trick I do that works great for ping and storage is to save your quart oil bottles from your last oil change. Buy diesel fuel in gallon jugs (or bigger) and then re-fill the quart oil bottles with diesel fuel. When you fill up your ride, dump in a quart of diesel. The added cetane raises the ping threshold, and this helps prevent vapor lock. It also makes the gas last longer in your tank.
Try it. It works**)

I would only run Shell or Chevron super in my bikes, and I stayed away from the 7/11 type places, but does it really make that much difference?
I think it does, but I'm very interested in hearing your opinions.
