Are you sure you want to go there on the engine most likely to blow a head gasket in the entire world. If you have to hot rod one then I would sugest finding a wrecked SC t bird with a blower but even then I wouldn't go crazy.
They are ok engines as v-6's go but man they blow a lot of head gaskets. Oil pumps are a major source of the pain in my tail too. I work in the shop at a car lot so maybe I am biased from only seeing the bad ones but maybe not. I owned a 93 couger since new till some trucker decided to use it as a speed bump a couple years ago. It had the 3.8 and went through 3 head gaskets in 120,000 miles. I am very anal about my maintenance too so it was very well taken care of. My 91 ford 4x4 has well over 600,000 miles on it and still looks and runs perfect. All 3 times I replaced both gaskets and everything was done right. The second time I did have to replace the left head thanks to being cracked from my wife driving it too far with no water.
If you must do it though I suggest a ford motorsport catalog. Summit racing has them and has good prices.
