now these truck were never offered by Chevy itself, but just like today they also had "coach builders" that would make spiecal trucks for you. What you see here is a school bus, mine was a school bus also, & later in life it was one of them damn long haired, dope smokin, sex craved, hippies wagons:LOL: :LOL: :LOL: . Hell it had a BIGGGG Peace sign on the front doors and had the words "LOVE BUS" painted on the back doors And the last time it had plates on it was back in 1971.
Soo you tell me what the hell you'd call one of these monsters, cause they they're about 32inches longer then a half ton & wiegh over a 1000lbs more and has windows in the side....joe

I want a bigger one.

I want a Suburban with a little longer wheelbase and load capacity to pull a trailer. I've tried to buy a couple of panels thinking I'd convert one.

I'd seen the site you pointed to, and have heard tell of similar trucks, but haven't ever seen one myself.

I havent seen one yet either other then the one I one, cant wait to get it on the road, cause its going to be low slung & close to the ground:3dSMILE: :3dSMILE: :3dSMILE: ..........joe

Ted is running the stock single paxton on the Lark. Not the dual turbos that are on the bullet nose racer. The engines are very tough, just do the rebuild by the Studebaker shop manual. You can get aftermarket Hi Po heads for them that have been flow tested as well. Email Nimesh Solanki

He will have a set of heads at the drag race that Ted is going to match race at.
You can also find the Disc brake conversions for Studes and Avanti's on E-bay. Stude did increase the frame thickness at least four times from 53 on with the GT Hawk frame being the thickest one and much stiffer than the 53 version. It is always good to check up under the A-arms for stress cracks and add some stiffeners to the frame when you are working on the car with the engine out. Remember, these cars are very old now and many were driven on dirt roads in their youth!

Hi and since I don't really know how to use this forum this is more like a test. But I wanted to talk about Studebakers, and I DID send a message to someone, when I thought I was posting to this forum. Hopefully they get it........

Anyway, I'll try now to post a picture of my '50 Starlight Couple. It's one of a few Studebakers that I have, but this is my favorite. Hope the post and picture make it!
