    I use Crysler 5th ave springs. (4 or 5 leaf are available from J. C. Whitney). I recently used the 5 leaf on a 48 GMC truck. They cost $69 each & shipping was free.

    I bought Crysler bolt on front & rear spring mounting hardware from a salvage yard.Speedway has shackels & axel mounting pads. total cost was $210.

    I used a aftermarket kit (C.E. I think) on a 1939 Ford & the ride was a little stiff but bearable & easy to install...altho the wheels were not centered in the wheel openings. This was easily corrected by redrilling the spring bolt hole.
