I have the same delima on my pickup bed ,round fender brackets,need new 1s and clearance issues.Heres my plan ,get 5/16 or so solid steel round,cut to size,hammer the ends on a anvil ,to make them flat for mounting bolts, shape as needed............Whats the oil and water for ?To forge it?
Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)
