So I have been pondering the Idea !!! hehehe Crate engines for my stepside and I seem to be leaning toward a crate engine in the hopes that i can get it on the road a little sooner...

I was looking into a 502 ramjet for the stepside and then this thought crosses my mind, what should i bolt bolt to it as for the tranny,,, hmmmmm I say to my self!!! 700r4 it this the right choice or should I really think longer so the question is what your opinion on the 502 and what is your best choice on transmission for this application (remember its going into my 80 chebby stepside) so thanks for looking ahead of time....

I think your right on track, long as ya don't get into an emission test hassle with that 1980 vehicle.......
