well someone with a mind like mine. i looked at the win engine idea on a t bucket too settled now with a 500 caddy
i was looking at twin stock 250 chev 6 cylinders but was trying to figure out how to mount them so that i could just run the back one while cruising and than either move a lever clutch or something and start and engauge the front engine. thought it would be neat .
150 hp to cruise and 300hp plus lots of torque to go.
i know that a double chain rear snout to front crank connector will work and would be reliable . i dont how much hp it willl take. we have a self propeled swather on the farm and it has the same kind of connector from engine to tranny on a 318 and has run for years.
i first thought a clutch and 3spd tranny in the front . one could clutch and shift from neutral to drive but the assembly would be way too long .
i think there are ramifications regarding linking 2 6 cyl engines together ie broken cranks due to harmonic problems.
i think it can be done with v8s but its one of those things it would be trial broken parts and error.
