    Digital?

Has anyone ever had digital dakota or dakota digital (whichever one it is, sorry I can't think right now) guages before?
If so, what are the pros and cons of these instruments?

I used Cyberdyne digital gauges in my 32. They were great. I had a little trouble with the sun from time to time, but you learn to live with it. Most of the digital gauge companies warrantee them for lifetime. The most important thing about them is to make sure you use a seperate ground for each gauge, believe me, it matters! I have a friend that uses "Dakota Digital", and he also had great luck. The car I have now is all mechanical because it's easier to focus on the position of a needle than to read a group of numbers. In the end, it all comes down to what "look" you're going for. The "high tech" look is digital. BTW, I have a complete set of extra Cyberdyne digital gauges just sitting on my shelf if you're interrested.

Are you changing to digital gauges in Old Yeller? I would think by the time your brain comprehends the readings you'll already have the shoot open.

Let me dig out what I have. I should have a speedo, tach, water temp, volt meter, gas gauge, and oil pressure. This may take me a few days, so hang in there.

The gauges I have are the kind that go behind a panel, so they are a little different that your average gauge. I have exactly what I mentioned in the other post. I can't seem to find the picture I had of them mounted in my car. They were mounted behind a Wabbits dash. I do not have the wiring directions, but I'm sure if you called Cyberdyne they could help you out. After I tell you the deal I have for you, it will be easy to make up your mind if you want them or not. Just PM me your shipping address and you can have them. I could ship them out Monday, if you let me know early enough. This pic is of the oil pressure gauge. The blue disc in the background is the face.

Well guys, I dug this old thread up looking to see if the contact info to Cyberdyne is on this site but I cannot find it. I searched Google, etc and found only other distributors contact info. I know this is an old thread but no sense in making a new one when there is this one I can just use again. Anyways, does anyone have the number to Cyberdyne?
I will be using these guages that Mike here gave me a few months back in my 66 Ford truck since the stock ones in it now are busted up and the speedo doesn't work. I don't know all I need but I do need the directions and whatever else like sensors.

    Thank you.

Shawn, I found this address and phone number. It's worth a try.

The above information is correct. I just did a yellow pages search and everything matched.

Pro60Chevy, thanks a lot! I guess when I call I just tell them that I have JUST the gauges but no directions or sensors? Or is there other things that I am missing? I don't want to call them sounding like an idiot not knowing all there is to them haha.
