Sorry guy I just got back to the shop this morn, No your not gonna just pinch the front , your just gonna narrow the whole camaro stub,it's gonna be wider than the frame your grafting to anyway,I'll bet if ya measure your old chevy frame width at the firewall ( about where ya'll graft the stub on) you will find that it's narrrower than the stub anyway..

here is a pic of my cobbled front end, it measures 60" on center with the rims i have on it. the frame horns on the pic have be cut up and boxed in so they will look different than a normal one. as for the radiator support, you may have to wing it, it will work, but i havent messed around with that much so i dont know what direction to tell you to go.

Track width on my camaro is 60" from the outside of the tire to the outside of the tire both front and back. Hub to Hub it's 57'' front and 36'' rear.

Thanks guys! Mine looks just like 53's there so I am guessing it will work with no narrowing. I will try it out and see how good it goes. 53Chevy5, is that the frame your not using? If so then how good is all your steering components like center link, etc? If you are not using them then would you be willing to sell any of those parts? All I have is a steering box for the steering, no centerlink, no pitman arm, nothing.

This is the only pic I have of the front part of the frame. I will try to get one of the entire front from the front all the way back...

53Chevy5, yes I need everything but the steering box. The guy said my steering box is good but he could be lying and I have no idea on how to tell if it is good or not without it being on the car. I was going to run manual steering like BlownGoat told me but I am not sure about that one anymore. Like I said I have NO CLUE on which direction I am going to go with on this car anymore. I am stuck between two styles and about 3 different paint schemes and don't know what I want now.
But thanks a ton for the offer and all man! Let me know how well it all is. If it's loose, etc can't you buy new bushing kits? If so then I will still do that.

power steering is the way to go i used a tran am power pump it is small with the power sreering jar on the inside fender it looks good the front dose not need to be pich but it is wider than stock i was thing about it when i did mine but i need the room for the big block

it is a common power pump it was before the srepent belts the pully on it was for a v belt i think it was 86 but all gm car s use them now take a trip to the bone yard the pully is bigger then the pump the pully is about 4 inch you say you front leans froward this dose not change the toe in but the caster the more it leans back the better for straight line tracking look at the old drag car with straight axel in them if turned to much the wheels fell over this was caster the pit crew set the wheels straight great for straight lines but not to turn the back stud for the A arm is for this and to bal the camber with the front stud add or take out shims

Well thought I'd come back to this again! I got some more info on my front end, etc from hotrodders forum and here is the info and comments they gave me. A guy said he tried this on his same car and that the Camaro front clip is 62 1/2" inches wide hub to hub and that a stock 48 frame is 58 inches. He said I can get fatman fab to get me a set of their narrowed control arms but they will only narrow it to 62 or 61 inches (can't remember which one he said). He said he gave up on it and that it was too much work.
They were telling me to use Heidts coil over front end or a S10 frame but I don't have the money for that. I am hoping it is as wide and Pro said. I don't have anything to hold the control arms up to see how wide it is from hub to hub so I am kinda screwed on that one.
Any idea's again here guys? Does this info I gave you from the other forums seem right?

A Camaro clip fits nicely in a 41 Chrysler, just find rims with the right offset. Those old rigs have big wheel wells for 16" tires, so there's room.

Ok well let's hope this thing works. If not then I guess I will sell the whole thing to someone and maybe use the money to build my dad and I a custom bike. He is wanting a bike bad and we dont have the money at all right now so I thought that would be an idea. Only thing is I dont wanna cut corners and just sell the thing because of a problem. Also if I sell it to someone they may give up on it or the car will sit in their feild for years and rot away like everything else around here and I don't want that. I am not set on the selling thing so please noone come on here thinking I am an idiot or giving up because I am not, that is just case comes to worse.
If I get the offset right and then get skinnier tires in the front (not too skinny) and it still dont work then I will widen the front fenders an inch or two and widen the rear ones as well so that way you can't even tell the front ones were changed. I don't even know why I am worrying about this car right now when I have my truck to get finished first but it's been bugging me for weeks.

R Pope, thanks for the info. I may try and get narrowed control arms JUST in case from Fatman Fab and narrow it an inch more to help.
