    fuel filter

Did the 65 malibu's come with fuel filters from the factory? I ve tried locating one on my 65 but it doesnt seem to have one. If it does not have a fuel filter, where do I mount one? Do i have to cut the lines along the frame, flare and install the filter or can i install the filter near the gas tank along the rubber line? By the way the car has a carb. Thanks

You may have a bronze or paper filter inside the carb where the fuel line connects . I would replace it or throw it away. I have two filters in my 55, one at the tank and one at the carb just to be safe. The one at the tank can also remove water. Carlg
