    body clip nuts??

Okay I have a really stupid simple question. What are the clips called that the bolts go into in say a 60's ford that hold the fender on, along the top of the fender??? I do not mean a cage nut (a square nut trapped in a metal brace.)

AT the factory they were called tinnerman clip nuts. Tinnerman was the company that originally made them. After their patent ran out other companies came out with various styles.
