I have a question. Someone has most likely asked already, but I missed it. Why???? If you want a 6 cylinder that runs good why not build a 292 . You should be able to find one at a very reasonable price. You can bore it out to 301C.I. And they can be made to Scream. Even in stock form it will have tons more torque than the 235.
Can't afford it, and theres only 1 other '51 Fleetline Deluxe 4dr that has the 235/ glide setup that I know of and that's from looking on a '51-'52 Chevy registry and finding only 1 listed, gotta be somewhat rare at least besides, many people ask why, I always respond why not, and as I'm doing a mid 50's correct custom, a 292 wouldn't work.
