    Exclamation alright some more help... got the 700r4

     



    ok well i got the transmission... out of a 1992 something chevy... 700r4 transmission 2 wheel drive.. going in my pickup.. no computer and i know i need the converter lock up kit... i know where to get that... and then something about a tv cable to the carb?? where do i get that.. howmuch is it.... and what does it do... for the engine its a 283 with an original 2 bbl carb... o and by the way... what kind of converter am i gonna need??? thanx for ur help!!!

    The TV cable controls the transmission. Set it up wrong, and you'll fry that 700/R4 quicker than an egg in a hot skillet.

    Go to this site and read as much as you can in their tech section.

    Also, the TV cable hookup on the carb end is specific to the carb. I'm not sure there is a carb kit to match your old 2bbl.

    You'd be better off to call Bowtie Overdrives (or some other trans supplier) for the kit rather than compile all the answers you'll get here. They've always been willing to help me.
