How about a chopped top, Mustang quarter panels and door skins on a '67 Ranchero? Also a full frame, large round headlights insted of dual stacked headlights. Next thing we're doing is bending up a 12 point cage. The car also has Mustang II IFS with rack and pinion steering.
I'm such an unusual looking guy that I don't have to do anything to my rod to make it stand out----I just have to set in it.
here ya go Dave, i think u may like this site.....joe

Thanks Joe, any unusual and a Blue Oval gets the old brain clicking again. Kind of easy to get bored with the same old project cars and mods all the time !!!! The station wagons were neat, didn't really see a roof line I liked, gotta give that some thought.
Unbelievable !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Illinois comes back from a 15 point deficit in the last 3:28 minutes to tie AZ. Then beats 'em by 1 pt. in overtime. Final 4 Time. HEHEHEQuote:

O.K. I'm back. I deleted my list, but you got to it B4 it was deleted. yer' too fast for me. I don't have any exterior stuff done yet, but There aren't too many street cars with an aluminum modular rear housing and home built parts to keep it from fallin' out.
a home made part is a part made with a cutting tourch and welder. i think you're pushing that home made stuff a little over the top. all of that stuff can be bought out of the book if youve got enough money. looks like the "same o" to me. :LOL:Quote:

Dave, that's great! I used to see Mercury front clips on Rancheros, and Buick/Olds/Pontiac on El Caminos (less common around here), but the Mustang treatment is wild.
Stayed at a motel in New Mexico in January 1997, where the car parked next to mine was a Corvette station wagon - looked like the back of a Vega wagon grafted onto a 65-66 Vette. Waste of a good Vette, but it was nicely done. Still, I'll stick with the Mustang Ranchero. Thanks for putting the photo up.
You all always amaze me w/your work. Here are several of my mods to my current project......Don
Aluminum steering column w/ ball bearings both ends and quick detach steering wheel up top.
Column drop made from flat 1/2" aluminum.
Built around a GM steering shaft fwiw.
Home-made aluminum throttle pedal with Teflon bushings and side washers.
Home-made skin effect radiator for transmission cooling.
Ok this is kinda simple stuff, but still not likey to find others like it. First my Studebaker/Chevy Valve covers
Here's my fuse box on a home made drop down panel. It folds up out of sight.
I'm amazed at the talent on this web site.
I'll show you some of the mods on my latest project(1948 chev trk).
Caddy fins on a 94 Chevy bed .
Power distribution box for under hood power and relays for headlughts and electric fans. This is made from a recycled metal first aid kit. It's hidden up underneath the drivers side fender
And inside the box... Thought we were supposed to think outside the box??
Don is the console fiberglass - wood?Quote:

Looks good. I see paint, does that mean the outside bodywork is gettin' close?
