mouse down carb

Went to get my 37 out of storage yesterday and pulled the cover off and checked everything over(looking for mice) since I keep it in a barn. Everything looked good so I put the battery back in, slapped the throttle a few times and nothing. Just cranked, no fire. Took the cover off my 3 deuce set up and found the electric choke not working. Disconnected it and worked the choke manually and if fired right up for about 5 seconds, backfired and stopped. Open the choke and saw a mouse tail sitting in my carb. Guess I'm going to find mouse souffie in my carb tomorrow and probably down the intake. Looked at the filter and found they chewed a hole right through it to get to the carb. Had the day off from work tomorow and was going ice fishing, but guess I'll fish for mice.:rolleyes: :rolleyes:

A real mouse motor!!!

When I was a kid, and perpetually broke, I drove a 52 Chev. When the cold weather came I couldn't afford anti-freeze, so I parked it in the drive shed, and drained the rad so it wouldn't freeze and crack the block. The rad wasn't draining very quick, so I took the rad cap off and shut the hood and left it. A couple of weeks later I scratched up enough money to buy some anti- freeze, so I went to the shed (it was kinda dark), filled up the rad, and took off for town, on a Saturday night. About half way to town the rad boiled over, temp gauge went to the peg, so I pulled off the road and left the car overnite. Went back the next day, pulled the rad cap off----and there were 6 boiled mice and about half the stuffing out of an old mattress that was stored up in the rafters of the shed..

hey Chebby, is mouse down anything like goose down??

not knowing it was there I started it up
and now the mouse is mine.

All was left was his tail
stuck in the carb upright
pulled the tail out of the hole
