Is my motor sposed to move up and down?

I got a 53 ford-100 pickup, got a 351 windsor in it and i got a straight front axle on it and now my motor is starting to move, i had to take out my Cowl cause it was scrapeing it. Is there a front frame to frame brace that i can get? or do i have to design one and hope that it works?

Have you checked your motor mounts?

    Pat
Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Have you been doing any heavy towing or popping donuts ?either your engine mounts are broken or the bolts fell out, do what Pat suggests and the problem should go away
