    Question under hood insulation

     



    ive heard from a friend that if i pulled the insulation out from under the hood that will help get cooler air into the engine.i want to know that if i pull it out would the heat damage my paint on the hood

    The only way that it will get cooler air is to remove the hood when you remove the insulation. And it's really sound deadener, not insulation. There is no reason to insulate the hood but there is a reason to damp the noise.
