    merry Christmas to... ME

I got me a 69 chevelle nomad wagon. Lovely car, fire engine red. 350, headers, dual exhaust, automatic overdrive.

One nasty little surprise, which wasn't supposed to be... the spare tire well is rotted out. My guess is that the tire rubbed through the side wall, which let in water and, unchecked and unseen, rotted it all out.

I've laid in some fiberglass, as a stop-gap measure, and will liberally coat the outside with undercoating. Eventually I'll want to patch in some steel. Is there a vendor which would have this? What donor vehicles might work? I severely doubt I would find anything vintage in a salvage yard which would have a good spare tire well, but ya never know.

Also, this car needs a rear and front sway bar like nobody's buisiness. Again: donor vehicles / vendors?

    Thanks

They make a replacement tire well. My Brother in law recently repaced his in 63 Impala SS. I will find out were he bought it and send info.

Post swaybar for the 69 wagon

I am right in the start on a similar project and found a website that is primarily for GTO,S but they are A bodies just the same as malibu and chevelles, try www.goatsgarage.com thay have a complete swaybar kit for that wagon plus also offer a discbrake conversion using more readily available spindles and rotors and calipers from the 73to77 a bodies, good luck sound like a neat wagon!
