Check out Baer Brakes. They can put discs on anything. I think I've seen there stuff on a couple of '61-'63 'Birds in the past. Check them out.---Tom

I have 1964 and 1962 Thunderbirds.
The brake systems on the T-Birds have alway's given me problems, you'll find the first thing to go Kaplooie will be the power brake booster ( rubber diaphram cracks ) the best advice i can give you is install a dual circuit brake system from a newer ford i.e. 1965 and up.
You can swap out the front spindles for the T-Birds with 1965 and up, Thunderbird ( disc brake equiped ) also,,,you will have to go to larger size wheels, as in 1964 and up.Last edited by Thunderbucket; 02-11-2005 at 12:32 PM.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
