    Thumbs up I need help on my 62 t-bird

     



    I just finshed rebuilding the 1962 \390 t-bird engin, and its a (( bulit )) .

    And, now im haveing a lot of problem's on my brake system, Front rear all dram's , i only need front to be changed to disk type.

    So, i need to now from (( A TO Z )) , like what car disk's can i fix or find a replacment now part's or racing.

    I need you'r help on this one members .

    Check out Baer Brakes. They can put discs on anything. I think I've seen there stuff on a couple of '61-'63 'Birds in the past. Check them out.

    I have 1964 and 1962 Thunderbirds.
    The brake systems on the T-Birds have alway's given me problems, you'll find the first thing to go Kaplooie will be the power brake booster ( rubber diaphram cracks ) the best advice i can give you is install a dual circuit brake system from a newer ford i.e. 1965 and up.
    You can swap out the front spindles for the T-Birds with 1965 and up, Thunderbird ( disc brake equiped ) also,,,you will have to go to larger size wheels, as in 1964 and up.

    Are you shur it say's 57-72 full size ford , no t-bird
