Well Guys---I think I got it beat. I bought another universal, a support bearing and a peice of 3/4" shafting. After considerable trial and error (with an old peice of 3/4" shaft I had in my scrap bin), I have everything in place, and with the drag link disconnected from the Pitman arm, I can turn lock to lock on the Vega box without binding. I will post a picture under a new thread after I get the correct shaft in place, everything prettied up, welded, and some light grey primer on it so that it will show up. JEEZ!!!! what a hassle. I saved a ton on headers by going the nostalgia, simple route with $25 flea market rams horn exhaust manifolds, then spent an additional $182 to get the steering shaft around them.---Oh Well-------
