I want to cut down a pair of triple plated chrome bumpers for my 37 chevy truck and not having done this before ,would like some input on how to proceed. I have enclose a rough drawing of what I want.

I can cut the bumpers with my plasa cutter, but I don't know how I can rebend them without crimping the chrome plating.
