Whats up everybody.
I was just sitting here thinking, dreaming even, of that project truck I was thinking of buying. Its a 46 Dodge Pickup. It has no engine or tranny, but the body is solid. From the pictures it looks like it has no rust, but I'll see when I go see it.
I was looking for information on the original trucks and I haven't found much. I have no clue what the original engine size would have been. There are a few restored 46 Dodge pickups floating around that have 350 Chevy small blocks.
I have never put an engine in a vehicle, nor have a taken one out. But I know from experience that Motor mounts break. Logic tells me that Engines must be held in, they do not just float! How enlightening. My question is this: Are all engines universal? Other than having to make room for a bigger engine (make room for manifolds, etc.) can any engine be placed in any body?
I wouldn't mind having a 350 S/B but I would like to know if I have more options just incase..
Thanks for the help the other day with my questions,
I think I am going to get a Miller MIG Welder, and I found a Stage 2 Air Compressor with an 80 Gallon Tank, I think It was 15.1/13.7 SCFM. Thinks almost 900 bucks though... Guess thats not bad.
