The balancer is probably greasy. Wipe it down...

The balancer is probably greasy. Wipe it down with a solvent. Usually there's a groove in the balancer at TDC. Dab some white paint in the groove.

- i spin the wheel and mark center, then set it back down. i have 2 pieces of smooth tin i set the tires on so i can turn side to side to check it. real easy to get off when dealing with 1/4 inch.
