Definitely a good idea to to talk to some the local car clubs. If it were up to be I would do the job myself but I don't have the space to do so and I think renting a storage could get too expensive....

When I say I'm on a low budget I mean I can't afford an engine that's 4k or above. With that said, this is what I had in mind:

This is what was causing all the clunking...that second from the left pushrod was totally lose and i was able to pull it out by hand

Just what I was afraid of... pushrods and valves that came apart (cylinder 7) I was able to pull out one of the push rods by hand, it was totally lose but not bent, the other one seems to be stuck...

I just removed 3 spark plug wires from the distributor to organize them better and put them back on... I also moved the electrical junction point where the alternator/ignition/starter wires connect....

The lights have been weak since before the low voltage issue. But yes good call on the ground wires, I will check on that.

no because they seem to be well focused, just not bright enough.

How do you go about upgrading to LED, Halogens etc? The stock incandescent headlights on my '47 ford are terrible, I can barely see at night even with the high beams on :(
