Nope, no subframe. didn 't add anything but the crossmember and that made the frame a lot sturdier than it was before.

Go to www.jcw.com and look up part number...
Go to www.jcw.com and look up part number WL377379 or www.Speedwaymotors.com and look up part number 720-9313. They both work with a front sump oil pan on the 429-460.

I agree with Richard. Go front sump. I've got a 390 in my 55 using the universal motor mount cross member from Speedway and the front sump clears everything. By the way, that crossmember add reads...
on small cars yes. but fat fender cars are pretty much the same in size and weight as the donor car. i found s10 brakes work great on fat fender and pickups. a deuce will just need manual brakes...
