Thanks Robert for the 1/4" copper backer tip. I've been using just any old piece of copper, usually just a thin piece of scrap lying around.

Robert, when taking a reading for runout at the bead of the rim, how do you determine if the runout is in the wheel or at the axle?

I agree with Roger, I'll bet there are a lot of cars running...

Another thought:rolleyes:;), leave the universal as is and mount it from the underside of the fender leaving just the round portion to stick through the fender. This may require some reshaping of the...

Just a thought, couldn't you cut off the teardrop portion of the universal mount leaving just the round portion. This would be easier to shape to the fender and there should be enough meat left on...

Just finished reading that article in RC and I feel the same way. I hated seeing that perfectly good 32 door cut up.:( I'm not a body man by any degree but I think I would have tried to...

As mentioned before, I love the welding posts. Every time I try something I've seen here or elsewhere and it works it gives me more confidence in my own skills.:3dSMILE:
