I'd have to vote for double shear on any Heim...
I'd have to vote for double shear on any Heim joint used in suspension loaded brackets-------It eliminates the sideways force on the heim outter ring--------

Jim-your brackets are for parallel bars-if you want triangulated they need to be angled on the housing--- if you don't already have a rear end I would suggest looking at one from mustang that already...

Since your talking about steering boxes----------on some race cars( Prostockers) I have used the flex haft from I believe a Pinto instead of U-Joints, and also I might add I believe some were also...

I'd always never been able to find an OEM type torsion bar set up of the ratings I needed and the race side market too expensive/complicated to build for street driven cars----never had researched...
