How to attach a baby moon to a wheel that won't accept one.
I got the Blazer 16 inch space saver spare wheels and the baby moon wouldn't snap on because it didn't have the 3 little nubs to snap in place. So here's what I came up with and workg great. Only thing I need to do is add a pike nut instead of the regular 1/4 inch one.

The center nut's not bad in any way, but it seems like I've seen some spring steel "clips" that were held in place by three of the lug nuts, shaped to retain the baby moon?Roger

No matter how tight you get it, will you not still have to be worried about the bearing greese cap comming off (and the hub cap with it)?
A nice chrome or polished stainless pan head allen would look much better. But maybe you are not finished yet.
I like the clip idea. Just like the old days.Bug

baby moons
Hey guys, I am new to the group. I saw this post when looking for baby moons that snap on the lug nuts like the crown victoria center caps do. I really like the idea of the clips and I think I am going to try that. I have two sets of steel wheels that do not have the nubs like the old wheels used to and I want to put baby moons on.
Thanks again for the great info and pictures.

Hey guy's ,just a suggestion , but how about spot weld a bolt to the back side of the moon that way you just screw the moon into the nut with a little bit of locktite to the bolt.?
We did end up finding part of the problem, we did not put O-rings on the distributor shaft which was sending oil up the shaft instead of sending it to the lifters, adding O-rings quieted it down but...
