Looking Great! You using flux core wire on your welder?
got the heater l am using mocked up. it's out of a 50 dodge truck. the motor is a6 volt motor so l will use a voltage drop in the wiring si it don't burn out.
l figure out that 2 tranmission coolers. one is a heat sink with a filter and a standard one in the rear by the shocks.
later:cool:
been awhile since update on the dodge,
here what we been doing the last couple weeks;
mocked up brake pedal and master cylinder. fuel pedal's put in, raditor's in,
mocked up the grille shell, put on the hoses, got the heater in, figured out the altenator brackets and mocked them up, seats are in, puke can, odds and ends.
gonna take her on the car trailer and take it to the local cruz'in friday. we'll take her off the trailer and put in the middle of the show and let the comments fly.
then soon tear it all back down for wiring ,paint, etc, etc**)
Later:cool:
temporarly screwed the body to the frame. just took self-tapping 3/16'' screws and zapped it thru the floor, then thru the top of the frame. that should hold to push it around till the body is permantly attatched.**)
also did some checking on how to attatch the mufflers/chrome tips, running the out-let on the exhaust to the rear fender lip, just behind the door. l'm
using the roadster style 3'' chrome tips with built in mufflers. IF these tips with the muffler are to loud(not for me, for the guy next door, he calls the ''MAN'' on me all the time. he don't like my hot rods:eek: )l'll stick the speedway muffler tube inserts in the semi pipes.
since my exhaust is 3'' I.D, l had to use semi exhaust pipes to connect the header collector to the mufflers/chrome tips to extend to where l want it to dump.
going to have to build some serious custom hangers for this set-up
post some pice when the exhaust is mocked up.
Later
:cool:took the car outside for pics and to see her in the yard.
Later**)
view thru windshield.
better view than l thought:3dSMILE:
LATER:cool:
SEE ABOVE
What was it you were covering up in "paint"?
the 7, 9 and 11 year old girls want to paint it. so l gave the a coulple cans of red and black. said top black, bottom red, go for it!!**):eek:
they had a blast and later on were gonna strip it to bare metal and do a two tone paint job.
Later:cool:
That's very cool that you let the young ladies lean into the project with spray cans, but I was talking about "paint" in your computer program. I can see where you went over some of the grass and trees. Left the dog though.
just my old work truck and a bunch of parts to sort through
Wow, It's come a long way, looking good!!!
